That's what her life swirls around. Amity's mother works at the most notorious asylum in the country and she's grown up hearing screams and witnessing abuse and mental illness shaming since she was born.
She's sure that she'll always be alone forever in the world.
Then along comes Ciel Candor.
He's weird, creepy and understands Amity in a way no one else does. But Ciel's very convincing and has a way with people. Will Amity keep herself sane or wind up in the cell next to her little psychopath?
