"Done." I said an hour later over the phone. I took my knife from out of his back and squatted down to make sure there was no pulse.

I was alert, making sure no one came into the abandoned alleyway, "Good girl." Winston replied back. I put the phone between my shoulder and ear again as I took out a clean handkerchief and cleaned the blood off my knife.

I flipped my lucky knife in my hand before sticking it in my belt loop cover, "You know," I looked at the corpse, disgusted as I talked over the phone, "I hate the sight of blood."

I heard Winston scoff, "Then maybe you shouldn't kill for a living."

Broken Connection✔️ by Simplewriter_31
43 parts Complete Mature
(completed) When Evelyn Cruz, the youngest of the Cruz siblings, comes full circle back to an old family friend, she instantly is flooded with old memories. The Valor's have come back with business. That's all they truly cared for. The eldest son of the Valor's, Grayson, had made a promise to the Cruz siblings to never leave. That promise was broken 5 years ago. Though, the one most affected was Evelyn. He had solely set the promise from her words. He promised to not leave and cause her to become the taker of the family business she never wanted. Will she be able to forgive him? Or will they both have to live with a lost connection beyond repair? ~~~~~~~~~ I'm trying my best to not listen to his voice booming behind me. Following me. "Evelyn, please!" Grayson's footsteps are getting closer to my trail and I can't help but speed up. But no matter how hard I tried to get away from him, he caught up to me. "Evelyn-" Grayson's arm wraps around my arm and I'm tugged back, flipping around to face him. "What the fuck do you want Grayson?" My harsh voice echos in the empty, open hallway. "God, I dont know what you want me to do. I have tried everything to get you to forgive me." He takes a sharp breath when I pull a knife out of my pocket and hold it to his stomach. "You really want to know why I haven't forgiven you?" He stares down at me blankly and gives a short nod. "Because you took the one thing I hoped you would care for." I press the knife ever so slightly more into his skin, causing only a small reaction from Grayson. His jaw clenches before he speaks. "And that is?" I shake my head at how stupid he is. You would think the taker of the Valor family business would be smarter. But no. I use my free arm to grab his tie and tug on it, leaning him down. He was so close to me. I could feel his warm breath against my lips. We were only inches away. "My trust Grayson."

I clutched the gun to my chest. The blood on my hands, outfit and hair knotted with it. The body stared up at her, mocking her. I finished the job. But why did I feel so empty. The assignment was to kill the target, not everyone that I did. But they always said whatever it takes to get the job done. I killed people for a living. I was good at what I did... I enjoyed what I did. Memories were filling my mind too quickly to stop them so I just let them run their course. *** His weight disappeared from me and his hand grabbed the front of my leather jacket and yanked me to my feet. One of his hands were wrapped around me throat while the other was flicking a switch blade back and forth. I stared at it, flicking in and out addicted to the trance. I looked up as his voice interrupted me. "What am I going to with you Liza?" "I don't know brother. Why don't you tell me?" "Hmm," his fingers brushed my face. He was vulnerable; I stepped on his feet and watched as he yelped in pain. I reached for the gun on the mantle behind me. I cocked the gun, the safety clicked off. "Liza?" His voice was weak and frightened. "Please." He was always a good actor. His eyes were betraying his words. They were dark with vengeance and fury. His body lunged towards me. I pulled the trigger, hearing a noise echo in my ears. I dropped the gun on the ground. My feet slowly dragged my body over to Liam's body. His fair blonde hair was turning a darkish yellow red from the blood spilling from his lifeless body. Previously named: 'I'm Back, And Now I Have A Gun'

Excerpt: "What the hell?" I said pulling at my right wrist that was attached to the headboard. "It's about time you woke up." Dante chuckled as he walked out of a dark corner. "What are you doing?" I asked. "Having fun... See the more you suffer the more amused I am." He smirked "Nicholas will be home soon, he will stop whatever you have planned." "He forgot to mention in that note he left, he's going to be gone until late tonight." He grinned. "Where is he? What did you do to him?" I sounded a lot braver in my head, but all that came out was shaking sentences and shivers. "He's going to see an old friend, I didn't do anything." "Look, this isn't funny. I need to study, I have a test tomorrow." "You'll be there, after..." He never finished his sentence, instead he left me hanging in suspense. My eyes widened in horror as he pulled out a tattoo gun. "Dante," I warned. "Don't do anything you will regret." ----- Marie just wanted to get away from her hurtful older brother. Little did she know that the mysterious stranger she met in the woods would cause her life to turn upside down and things she never thought could be real, are.
