In the world of the conservative late 19th century New York City, it was unacceptable for a woman to pursue a career, much less two in one family. Enter Elizabeth Pulitzer, the younger sister of Katherine "Plumber" or so her byline says. Elizabeth is put to the test when her morals go against everything she was raised to believe by her overbearing father Joseph Pulitzer, the entrepreneur behind the popular New York newspaper The World. When a chance encounter makes her entire belief system come crashing down upon the young redhead, Elizabeth must decide to either stay with her normal standards or follow her heart.
*** This story will go back and forth between the play and the behind the scenes with the actors. It will center around the actors but there will be an occasional chapter with the play so you can understand how Elizabeth plays into the plot. When the chapter is about the play, there will be asterisks around the chapter title. Just, FYI! Hope you enjoy!
