Everyone is entered into The Lottery at birth. If you're picked, you die.

Ashlee lives in a destroyed world where the people outweigh the amount of food and resources to go round. To solve this problem, the government came up with The Lottery. Every month, in every town one person is chosen from the citizens who live there to die. Ashlee hates this idea and wants to come up with a different solution that lets everyone live. Ultimately, she wants to take control and change things for the better. But want happens when she is the one chosen to die?
