Every night he sang the same song. The words were in a different language, so I never understood what he was singing. I lost track of how long I've been here. There was one other girl, I only knew her by the name he gave her. He called her April. We aren't allowed to talk freely, or else he'll take us to the back room, so I never had the opportunity to ask her. April had been there before me, I'm not sure how long. April was somewhere around 18 to 25, and she was treated like the wife. I was given the name Adeline. After being called Adeline for so long, I slowly forgot my actual name. I didn't know the real name of the man, I only knew he asked me to call him father. I had to, or else I'd be taken to the back room. I don't see myself ever escaping this nightmare.. I just want to go back home. If I can even remember where that is. I suppose I'm now part of this family. One big hellish family.
