During what was supposed to be a ground-breaking weekend at Jurassic Park, Dr. Evelyn Harper, a paleo-geneticist, and Dr. Michael Bennett, a wildlife veterinarian, are invited by John Hammond to witness the marvels of the world's first dinosaur theme park. They join a select group of experts, including palaeontologists Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler, and chaos theorist Dr. Ian Malcolm. As they arrive on Isla Nublar, Eve and Mike are awestruck by the sight of living, breathing dinosaurs. However, their awe quickly turns to concern when they notice subtle signs of instability in the park's operations. Eve, with her deep understanding of genetic engineering, senses that the dinosaurs' behaviours are not aligning with their intended designs, while Mike observes unusual stress markers in the animals. Their concerns are validated when a catastrophic systems failure occurs, triggered by a sabotage from disgruntled programmer Dennis Nedry.
