In the light of Fire is a story about a girl going through the tragic experience of watching the only home she has ever known go up into flames and adjusting to life after that. Life in a new town. With new people and new surroundings. Heck, even a brand new state! From California to Topsham, Maine. Clair Turner is in for an adventure. Now living with her grandparents, her parents looking for jobs, and school starting soon, not to mention having to help care for her 11 month old brother, it will take a lot, and possibly more time to fight the memory of the fire.

The light grew brilliant and bright for a brief moment, then disappeared. I pried the grate off the wall and poked my head down there but saw no light. I was alone in the house and far too scared to go back to sleep so I got up and wrote the first draft of this story. To this day I have no idea where the light came from.
