Imagine a medicine cat.
They can't treat fleas.
They can barely treat eye problems.
They can barely treat fatal wounds.
[end of being unable to treat stuff]
They can't care for their herbs.
They can barely train an apprentice.
They can barely remember traveling herbs.
[end of being unable to care for stuff]
Wouldn't you hate that?
Medicine cats like this, especially in roleplays, make me wanna tear my skin off. It's a pet peeve.
You don't have to be an expert herbalist.
You don't have to know every use, genetic and location of St. John's Wort.
You don't have to own an herb garden.
But you really should know your remedies.
If you're reading this, either you're determined to become a good medicine cat, want to test your skills [but believe you already have all of them, nobody does], or are just chilling to review guides.
More things will be explained in the introduction.

WITHERING HERBS || A Warriors Fanfiction
A sickness - like a mere case of the chills or a minor whitecough in a patient - is often something a medicine cat can easily fix, with some leafy catmint or perhaps a pawful of feverfew. It is vanquished effortlessly, and the illness is gone. It does not come back unless someone receives it again. But when the Clans have contracted a terrible sickness, StarClan has not answered for moons, and they are losing numbers quickly, nobody knows what to do. The medicine cats have done all they can for their Clanmates, however, nothing has worked. No longer outside the elder's den lay a lazy, gray-muzzled cat. The nursery, ever so faintly smelling of milk, only contains memories of what used to happen in the usually cheery den. The warrior's den only have three or four inhabitants, each of which thinks grimly of the day that the sickness could come upon them. The apprentice's den, in some Clans, has one cat who comes to sleep in it each night, cold and alone. Others are empty, filled with grief for lost futures. Leaf-fall has tumbled upon the Clans. Leaf-bare approaches, peeking over the treetops some mornings. This awful illness has lasted since Green-leaf and, still, with the medicine cats searching every day and the warrior's eyes peeled for it, a cure has not been found. However, each Clan has a reason for StarClan not answering them, and they mostly stick to it. Medicine cats are gifted the ability to communicate with Starclan and receive prophecies from them. In return, the medicine cats worship Starclan. A kit, Frogkit, has been gifted these abilities. But these abilities were not normal, worse even, and not even the medicine cats themselves could figure out how it works. Warriors: Bloodshed
The story of a great cat is about to be revealed. This cat had the same beginning as Scourge, tortured by her brother and sister, regarded as weak because of her size, and attacked by Clan cats because she was trespassing unknowingly. Well, this cat also has a similar fate as Scourge, she will seek revenge just as he did, she will kill cats just like him, and she will lead just like Scourge. Every cat has a choice to follow two paths, a path with glory, light, and loyalty or a path of bloodshed, darkness, and evil. Although, she will become successful in where Scourge failed. Her claws are sharper, her heart is colder and her mind is darker than Scourge could ever imagine. So will she succeed in where the former BloodClan leader failed?
