"Damaged Souls"

"Damaged and damned souls" yearning for salvation from this eternal affliction but yet it's the sweetest addiction.
But this sorrow and agony is somehow tempting soothing. The pain is his beloved who accompanied him in difficult times making it more difficult for him to overcome them, but the silly heart is petrified of losing it.
"Are all his efforts in vain?"
