My moms words echo in my head. I've been masquerading as a boy for a little over twenty years now. All because of some fortune teller telling her that I would have a miserable life if I lived as a girl; so I have to live as a boy until I turn twenty-one. I'm skilled in karate, Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and basic self defense because of this. Little did I know while learning these skills that I would ever really need them.
I have kept my secret safe for so long by dressing, acting, and even talking like a boy. My hair is even cut short like a 'guy'. My skin is always soft and smooth no matter how much work or training I put myself through.
I do plan to come out to the world as the girl I really am one day. I'm just not looking forward to my parents finding out about it.
I just didn't know that helping a stranger one day would make my secret that much harder to keep until I was ready and able to tell it.

Not Sick But Not Well.
This day wasn't an exception. I cried over and over until I could no longer, I wiped my tears and took the packages in my arms after opening the door. In the house, nothing new.
