Life on the Ranch was the only life Raeanna Holt knew. She worked with horses better than people, and she grew up being raised by the cowboys code. Life was simple for her, for her whole sixteen years. Then, one summer her dad decided to hire a couple of new Ranch hands. Then her life turned upside down. The Dawson family was known around Sugar Valley, but then weren't thought much of. Earl Dawson was once a rodeo star, and the best horse breaker in the state but the booze got the best of him. Not much was expected of the sons of the town drunk. They grew up mean and they grew up bad. Only one family was willing to give them work. Jesse Dawson planned on saving just enough money to fill the tank up in his beat up old truck and he was leaving town. He was not going to stay and fall in love with the pretty little brunette who watched him on the ranch.
