Tinitigan siya ng doktor. "You might not be able to take the pain habang lumalaki ang cancer. And we'll give you about nine months to live. Give and take a month."

"I'm sorry," narinig niyang sabi ng doktor. "I'll give you a day or two to decide. Kailangan nating i-schedule ang chemo."
Inalis niya ang mga kamay sa mukha at bahagyang lumayo kay Sophia para matitigan ang doktor. "I already made my decision, doc. Hindi po ako magpapa-chemo."
"In my long profession as a doctor. I encoutered about nine incident like this. Iba-iba ang sakit, some decisions are to be made by couples. But you are the first who refused chemo to give way to your baby."
Hindi niya mabigyan ng rason ang desisyon niya. At alam niyang iyon din ang gusto ng Diyos na gawin niya. Kung hindi ay bakit binibigyan pa siya ng Siyam na buwan para mabuhay kahit walang chemotheraphy?
"You might want to consult your husband," sabi ng doktor ng muling magsalita.
She forgot that she was taken to the hospital and checked in as Mrs. Althea Campbell. Alam niya na ngayon na kailangan niyang hanapin si Jeremy. Kailangan niyang ibigay dito ang bata pagkapanganak niya, so the father could take care of the child. Jesus!
