I smiled at the new guy sitting next to me.

"Hi," I wave a small wave. The corners of eyes his crinkles up as his dimples rise up to the middle of his cheeks. He is really attractive. "What's your name?" I asked. It's pretty rude to not ask a very attractive guy what his name is.

His smile instantly drops as I asked. He looks up to me with a sad smile. Why is he so sad all of the sudden? Confused, I look over my shoulders to see if there was anybody behind me doing anything cruel to upset the poor guy. Nobody. I turn my head back to the new guy and furrowed my eyebrows in question. He huffed and grabbed my hand as he clicked his pen. Flipping my palm up, he brings the pen down and starts scribbling on my hand.

My name is Aiden. You?

I look up from my hand and blinked a couple of times. My lips parted slightly to gasp quietly that it is barely audible. That's why his smile just dissapeared. What am I supposed to do? Apologize that he is mute? No, he would probably hate me, saying sorry won't fix it.

Deciding to ignore that he can't speak, I smiled and held my hand out to him.

"My name is Gail," I say as we shake hands.
