Hard-working and introverted, Erica, is moved to Palo Alto because of her father's death in a car crash. The death affected her mother a lot and so Erica was forced to look after her mother. Whilst still in high school, the teenager is secluded and has a total of zero friends, even after three years of an adjustment period. One morning, her favorite English teacher is replaced by a young, cocky, and handsome gentleman named Shawn Mendes.
