In a world where everybody has a soulmate, Evan and Connor find themselves locked into a world with no vibrant colors that bring joy to the ones around them. They're both considering the fact that they'll never meet there soulmate and never get to experience the joy of color, and live their lives in monotone. They begin their final year of high school thinking that nothing ever is going to change, until they suddenly see color that is blinding. The only problem is that they can't remember the person that they happened to bump into to cause this outburst of color.

Though, eventually he begins to tolerate Evan's presence, and soon goes from tolerating it to enjoying it. When Evan miraculously gets cast as the lead role in a show the class is performing, Connor takes it upon himself to help Evan step into the spotlight.
