Eleanor Griffin foolishly became the guardian of Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando at a young age after becoming obsessed with protecting Jonathan. Dio and Eleanor's feelings for one another grow with age, and soon they are in an unspoken courtship. But all of those dreams dash to pieces when Dio becomes a vampire and tries to destroy the Joestar family. In a fight with Dio, Eleanor is frozen in ice and seemingly laid to rest.
