(This is the prequel to my other book The Angel Within. You do not need to read it to understand this but it may help in understanding my little world and writing!)

Amitiel is the daughter of the Head of Council in the Guardians. She has been dreaming of being in his place since she could walk but when she realized women could not be in The Council or The Guardians, things went down hill. She tried her hardest to somehow impress her father, Rathius, every day but her older brother was the only thing perfect in his eyes.
Once realizing all she could do was dream, she trained her heart out, in hopes of gaining respect. Every morning she secretly trained to gain the strength both mentally and physically she needed to confront The Council.
The night before she plans to gain her respect and power she is more confident than ever but she cant help feeling that something is going to go wrong. So when she wakes up to an attack in the City, what does she do? Let her family and friends die? or fight for her life?
