Emery Ernst is a fiery, artistic girl who has literally zero filter. After the tragic death of her parents 10 years ago, Emery has learned that life's a bitch who will give and take whenever she likes. To survive Emery has set herself these golden rules to live by:
1. Don't trust anyone, they could use it against you
2. NEVER fall in love, it always ends in disaster
3. Don't get your hopes up, don't let your guard down
Felix Johnson is the sarcastic, cold and utterly good looking "bad boy" at school. With low grades and a high alcohol tolerance everyone thinks they have him figured out. Little do they know that Felix is much more than he seems, with a tragic past and underlying mental issues to boot Felix is more than the cool and sardonic guy he makes himself out to be.
When all of a sudden they're thrown together in an art project from hell, these two polar opposites are forced to work together whether they like it or not.
