Long ago, in the age of Arthurian times. Mordred betrayed his friend. Using dark magic to call forth powerful creatures of the underworld somewhat taking the appearance of vampires. (Fangire) To combat this force. Arthur asked Merlin to split his Excalibur into four other copies so he and four of his most trusted could defeat these creatures of the underworld.
But, unable to completely destroy them, they sealed Mordred and his army back into the Underworld. Fearing that they would return in the near future. Arthur asked his best friend and advise to do one last task for him. Take the Excaliburs into the future, they swords will choose 5 new knights worthy of there power in time that Mordred would rise again even stronger.
