Midna longs to be with link and with the help of her father finds a way to return to the light realm, abandoning her family and kingdom. Link has been hurting ever since Midna left and destroyed the Mirror of Twilight cutting off his only way to get to her... The one he loved.... He never even got to tell her how he felt.
