A short historical fiction I wrote in 2018. This is old. The edited (and perhaps best) version of this story is now called 'In the Reeds'. You can find it among my works.
Many many years ago, in the world of Ancient Egypt, follow the journey of a woman as she goes through pregnancy. Will the gods take pity on her soul? Will she be able to survive for the birth of her child?

No place for peace
Year 1400 BC. One day at the marketplace changes everything for Nefer-ra, the young and beautiful daughter of a craftsman. Before she even realizes what has happened, she has already signed the contract to become the first wife of the Pharaoh's son and moved to live in the royal harem. At first everything seems almost too good to be true, but Nefer-ra soon realizes there is more to the order of things at the palace than at first catches the eye and she has to face the fact that her fairytale may not be that happy after all. And how do you get time alone with the Pharaoh in a harem where everyone is fighting for his attention? 1) Validation Through Divine Intervention Book I: Cursed Maiden and Her Legacy
Warning: This book contains extreme depictions of violence, gore and self-harm. Illustrations of nudity and sexual content. Elements of horror and abortion. (Note: This is the story of Demetrus, a boy discarded by his society for reasons unknown. He is cast into a ravine where his meant to die but is rescued by an unseen hand and nurtured by a phantom breast. He resolves to serve the gods any way he can and starts off on a wide, expanding journey. This is my most ambitious project to date, requiring I keep a cheat sheet to keep it all straight, which is the first this has ever happened for me. It is ancient Greek adjacent, all of the fun without the need for accuracy, so it will include many different monsters, gods, goddesses and deities that do not align to either gender. They will play an active role in the story while still being reserved enough to allow the characters to make their own choices, good or ill.)Complete

Battle of Egypt
For a millenia man thrived under the gods Egypt. Osiris proved to be a capable and wise ruler. His wife Isis taught man man things and gave them tools to succeed. Nephthys taught them how to prepare the dead, and how to prepare for the afterlife. Yet Set grew greedy. He wanted more power. He wanted his brother's throne. He wanted to rule all of Egypt himself. Have the power for himself. Nephthys, now pregnant, began to fear her husband. He was not the same as when they were married. And so she escaped Thinis and travelled to Memphis to claim sanctuary with her brother and sister. There she gave birth to Anubis. The jackal headed god of death took up his position and began to ferry the dead souls through the underworld. Isis foretold the coming war with Set. But Osiris, always trusting of his brother, did not see the danger. And so invited him to the announcement of Isis' pregnancy. It was there that Set killed his brother. Nephthys and Isis escaped Memphis under the cover of darkness, and took refuge with their loyal followers. There, Isis gave birth to her son Horus. The hawk god, Isis prayed to her grandfather for guidance. As Horus grew older, Set's grip on power strengthened. Fear ruled the young Egypt. But those both god and man were still loyal to Horus and his mother helped plan revenge. Horus, now a man. And his trusted human servant Ahmose battled Set. This carnage saw the sacred Nile run red with blood. Hearing the cries of man. Amun Ra travelled from his sacred ship and commanded all gods to return to the afterlife and fight their battles there.Complete

Daughter of Hades
We all know the story of how Hades's kidnapped Persephone from her mother and his sister Demeter, brought her to the Underworld and tricked her by eating a Pomegranate that forces her to spend half the year in the Underworld with him. While Persephone may have been reluctant to be with the King of The Underworld at first, she slowly grew to love it and her husband. Hades being the most hated God received a curse from Persephone father, Zeus, that any child Hades and Persephone had together would destroy the world as we know it. Neglecting to tell his young wife this Persephone becomes pregnant. Excited to tell her husband about the news when she gets back to the underworld, her mother let's her know of the curse that Zeus has put on the child. Demeter urges her to be rid of the child, but Persephone, Goddess of Fertility denies the request and hides her pregnancy from all. Once Persephone has the child Zeus and Hades find out, so she asks Athena and Aphrodite for protection of the beautiful little girl. They counteract the little girls curse by providing the girl with a future love so strong, it will kill the darkness inside of her. This is the story of that girl, Helena, Daughter Of Hades.Complete
