Entah ada apa dengan Justin Bieber. Sedih, bahagia atau apapun itu karyanya, membuatku selalu ingin mengikuti perkembangan Bieber. Salah satu dari karya terbarunya, lagu berjudul "purpose". Mellow nadanya, menyentuh kalbu liriknya. Merenung aku dibuatnya, ya merenung, mencoba untuk memaknai setiap kata yang Bieber buat, atau bahkan singgung. 

Yang sudah aku dapat dari makna liriknya adalah seberapa butuhnya Bieber kepada Tuhan, yang telah memberkatinya. Ia telah menemukan kembali keyakinan, arah, serta tujuan hidupnya. Ia pasrahkan semua yang ia punya kepada Tuhan. Takdir, jiwa dan raganya. Lagu ini merangkap sebagai sebuah permohonan kepada Tuhan, untuk memaafkan segala dosa-dosa yang telah Bieber lakukan di masa lampau. Begitu kira-kira..
