Thats why they recruit her and part her from her family and bring her into there secret Branch of the police force and they use her voice as a secret weapon. And in return, they give her family a house and they give her protection from the criminals after her.
But when she gets herself kicked out, they can't protect her anymore. And she is in the middle of a game of tug of war between the good guys and bad guys.
