In Perfect Harmony

Riley Berkley has a rough life. Between daily abuse from her parents and constant bullying from everyone at school because she always has bruises and cuts, she's had enough. All her life there has been one thing that took her away from her crazy life, singing. But when even that cant temporarily fix what's happening she decides its time to pack her bags and do the thing she's always done; run. She travels to California to live with her aunt Kirsty. She finds herself an actually happy life and friends. She's friends with everyone, but one boy in particular catches her eye. Alex Preston had a troubled home life. His stepfather beat him to unconsciousness and his mom died. He moved to California to get away. He never loved, at least until he met Riley. When he found out she taught vocal lessons, he took the opportunity to get close to her. He planned on somehow making her feel the same way towards him as he to her. Will their bad pasts drive them apart, or possibly bring them together?
