Kagami Carter is fresh out of college when she cracks her mirror and falls into another world known as 'Edane'. Quickly, she figures out how to jump back and forth between Earth and Edane, happy to escape her modern life for that of a simple musician who does what she can in the poor country of Yuhitochi. However, after the Emperor of Yuhitochi died with the strangest request, she finds herself becoming the Emperor that Yuhitochi desperately needs.

Meanwhile as Kagami pulls the economy from poverty to glory, war threatens to brew on the horizon among the Western countries, Decus, Gloria and Zadrao and the mysterious Emperor of the neighboring country, Zhangshi Xiang, is watching her closely.
