(When sirens talk, it's like they are speaking normal words, but to humans, it sounds like click, whistles, chirps, and music notes.) Dipper is a siren who, unlike his family and other sirens, was ecstatic about humans, wanting to know all about them. Getting full of pure excitement when he finds something new, old or whatever human related.
Bill is a human, a pirate no less. When the two meet, both will end up going on an adventure neither one of them prepared for.

He watches them at first and lets them live. The boy seems much more interested in all the weird things in the forest than the girl but other than that they looked harmless. Till a few days later Bill finds he's missing his journal, where he logs all his creatures and their actions. Panicked and pissed he reaches his whole forest and the whole town. Making the people fear him and the forest. But he had no luck finding his journal.
