It has been 8 years since the barriers destruction. After that Frisk has destroyed the reset button for good, flowey is missing, and Chara seems to be gone as well. After inter grating into society (after some years) things are really looking up for monsters. Toriel is a high school teacher, Alphys is a leading scientist and is helping make major advances in technology, papyrus and undyne took a similar path both becoming police officers. Asgore is working as ambassador for monsters (frisk is to young for that job). Mettaton got himself a career in acting and singing.
As for sans he just works a simple job at the public library, but... He has quite the interesting night job as well. Follow sans's journey for the true meaning of justice, come to terms with his past. As well as hide his double life from friends and family and have an encounter that could change his way of life forever. (I don't want to give too many spoilers in the summary :p)

What if there was an anomaly in the Underground? No, not Frisk. Not Chara either. Someone else entirely. How could a few measly children stand to this supposedly immortal foe and save the Underground from destruction? Is it even possible to do so? Only one way to tell... ~o0o~ Disclaimers before you start! •There is NO fanon ships. That means no Soriel, Papyton, etc. The only ships are Torgore (in the past) and Alphyne. •This is NOT an x reader. I dislike those types of stories. The reader will have no part in this, and they will not be shipped with anyone. •This exists outside of canon to an extreme. For example, Frisk is the second human and not the eighth. •There will be OCs, but only for a few humans and they still technically exist in normal Undertale. •There is a sequel. I'm planning on rewriting it after this one, as it is much more random and definitely needs it. Clanky, plot holes/retconning, etc. It's more of an OC thing, to explore them and their issues, than an Undertale thing, but it has its similarities. •There will be some explicitives. It won't be unnecessary or excessive, only when it fits the situation and character. I will not be using any slurs, as that's just plain disrespectful, even if some of them apply to me. "The Time Before" by ANinnyMouse42 is the backstory for Sans in this AU with some adjustments (mainly since that was very close to my original idea before I read it and I don't want people to think I copied their masterpiece or smth, if you haven't read it please do so, it's really good). Some things will be in reference to the other books in the trilogy or "From War to Science" by Emotistic-optimistic. If you haven't, read that too. It's really good (along with its sequel). what if Asgore and Toriel part on good terms after his delcaration of war? what if Flowey did not turn evil by the time Frisk came into the underground ? what if Papyrus was more willing to fight and more able to dodge (..without still knowing what capturing a human would do)? what if Sans still did not find about "the anomoly" due to Flowey's lesser amounts of resets? and more small things a "what if" type of story for all to see

Frisk just wants to save monster and humankind, but does she have the determination to do everything she wants? Especially as she has now been blamed for the terrible crimes committed by her sister. G has stopped caring, but can this infuriating woman who becomes his neighbour pull him back into the world and seek for justice again. I'm so bad at descriptions :/ I'm delving headfirst into fanfiction. You guys may not like this story or even read it but I'm going to try. Frisk has freed the monsters of the Underground. Finally, monster kind is allowed to return to the surface. It's been 3 years since then. Yet the monsters still struggle to find their place within the world. Most accept the monsters, but there are those who wish nothing more than the complete annihilation of monster kind. Merely sealing them away is not enough. As ambassador for the monsters, it is Frisk's responsibility to fight for everyone's right to live on the surface. But at the same time, an internal battle rages on within her. Not only that, her relationship with Sans is strained. Trust is not so easily regained after the slaughter of one's beloved, despite it all being erased. Or was it really? The memories are still there. *I have lost interest to complete pre story and post story parts.
