When seventeen year old Priscilla Demond encounters a mysterious boy one night on a rooftop on the outskirts of the Golden City, she doesn’t expect to be so attracted to him. But that’s exactly what happens. Crimson Darcy is not the average eighteen year old guy. He is a test subject for the higher powers of the Golden City, and one with many restrictions. The one freedom he has is the midnight outings he goes on to explore the city in isolation. Crimson’s encounter with Priscilla is accidental but what happens after is not.
