Alana Roswell has been alone for alone ever since she was in fourth grade. Hostile and cruel, she separated herself from all her peers. She gave up on school, on life, and on the people around her. Years later, she still hasn't found the will to change until Brody Pates, the somehow familiar new kid, shows up at Northwest High. He's eager to talk with her and be with her. She attempts to let him, until her past comes crashing back to her, memories rushing back in front of her very eyes. Can he free her before she can't take it anymore?
