The Ominotago tribe, one of the last five Native American tribes with the blessing of the stars, survives through stories and songs. Their history, their lessons, everything is spoken or sung to each other, to the forest, to the sky. But not Liluye. Her name means 'singing hawk that soars'. She was destined to be the next Nahimana, the village mystic, who communes to the stars with her stories. But during her birth, the elders were interrupted, and Liluye was born mute. This is the story of a girl who fit in nowhere, who could not speak with her people or her world, and so she found a new way to sing. All Rights Reserved
