Unexpected

Harry and his sister Nicole find a sparkling necklace that Harry knows he's seen before, but can't seem to remember the name nor property of it. What he does know however, is that it's important and/or slightly dangerous and should not be tossed around, something his sister does not seem to understand.

And as the older, more responsible (debatable) sibling, his response to this is to grab it from her and tell his mum. Only Nicole doesn't seem to be as on board with this plan as he is and tackles him (how?? She's twelve) to the floor. In the midst of this tussle, the necklace is thrown out of Harry's grasp and down the stairs. Where his parents, godparents, and best friends are currently sitting watching the footie.

Now this wouldn't have been so bad if said necklace wasn't a time turner and had broken into pieces on contact with the floor. At once all heads turn towards the frozen siblings, eyeing the shattered glass and sand surrounding it. Before his mum can ask them just what the bloody hell has happened and demand they clean it up, the sand jumps up and starts surrounding them. they..... well. disappear.

And because the author decided that things couldn't possibly get any worse, they appear on September 1st 2001, the very beginning of the Marauders 6th year.
