(ON HOLD) Our world was a beautiful planet, some might say. From it's looming evergreens to it's flowing waterfalls to it's deepest darkest caves, this planet held the essence of life. Humans, animals and creatures alike roamed our planet in peace. It was a perfect time to be alive... Or, so I'm told. Almost twelve hundred years ago our world erupted in chaos. The evergreens wiped out, crystal clear waterfalls faded to brown. Creatures were at war. Namely humans. Their selfish and arrogant ways led them to their own destruction... Bombs. Bombs went off everywhere. Children, women, and men perished as radiation spread. Lakes and oceans dried up, making water scarce. Hardly anyone had time to make it to cellars, or underground bunkers, to escape the tragedy. Only a few made it out with their lives. Our world rapidly became a desolate wasteland. Now, in the year 4206, the creatures of our world are building their way back up. To keep mass destruction from taking over, our world instilled a single enforced government known as the Alliance. A hierarchy of elite beings that seemed to be the answer to everyone's prayers. That is until my journey began. Who am I, you may ask? I'm Skye, and this is my story... Eighteen-year-old Skye Rever had as normal of a life as the wasteland called earth could allow, that is, until her sister Nova goes missing. Branded a Deviant, she struggles to find her sister, only to have everything she ever knew shatter before her eyes. •°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•° WARNING: MATURE THEMES AND STRONG LANGUAGE! •°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•° Updates: Once a month (or whenever I happen to publish them, but I'm trying for monthly.) •°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•° Started: September 2, 2018 Finished: - -, - Last Update: April 24, 2019

"After everything, you're... one of the few things that actually feels real." In 2030, the sky cracked open. By 2040, Earth belongs to the Biopods. In the present, 2049, humanity has mostly given up, trying to survive through this broken world. They arrived as silent meteorites, egg-shaped monoliths that burrowed into the Earth. At first, humanity thought they were dormant. But they weren't. Each Biopod is a living factory: it devours biological matter-humans, animals, forests-and reconfigures it into cold, sentient machines. The machines they make vary, adapting to terrain, resistance, and resource availability. They don't just kill. They convert. Matthew Riots, gunner from the Frontline, no longer wishing to fight, left the Frontline for Zeta. There he reunited with his sister, living out their quiet lives. But no peace truly exists in a world full of Biopods. Zeta fell, he and his sister completely lost contact. Promising to keep surviving no matter what, Matthew journeyed to the promised land of Athena. The story of Rust And Stardust gives us insights on what little humanity is left in the apocalypse. A story focusing on the theme of family, love and human's connection. In a broken world where survival is a luxury, will our main character finally find peace and happiness again?
