Our world was a beautiful planet, some might say. From it's looming evergreens to it's flowing waterfalls to it's deepest darkest caves, this planet held the essence of life. Humans, animals and creatures alike roamed our planet in peace. It was a perfect time to be alive...
Or, so I'm told.
Almost twelve hundred years ago our world erupted in chaos. The evergreens wiped out, crystal clear waterfalls faded to brown. Creatures were at war. Namely humans. Their selfish and arrogant ways led them to their own destruction...
Bombs.
Bombs went off everywhere. Children, women, and men perished as radiation spread. Lakes and oceans dried up, making water scarce. Hardly anyone had time to make it to cellars, or underground bunkers, to escape the tragedy. Only a few made it out with their lives. Our world rapidly became a desolate wasteland.
Now, in the year 4206, the creatures of our world are building their way back up. To keep mass destruction from taking over, our world instilled a single enforced government known as the Alliance. A hierarchy of elite beings that seemed to be the answer to everyone's prayers. That is until my journey began.
Who am I, you may ask? I'm Skye, and this is my story...
Eighteen-year-old Skye Rever had as normal of a life as the wasteland called earth could allow, that is, until her sister Nova goes missing. Branded a Deviant, she struggles to find her sister, only to have everything she ever knew shatter before her eyes.

Lauren learned early on how to take care of herself no matter the cost, or who's around once she realized she'd always be alone... or so she thought. she lived on the run constantly looking over her shoulder, she came across groups but they never lasted and died and always left her alone. Lauren just went where the day took her with only 2 objectives on her mind; food and water. As her path stretches, things become more complicated and she finds that food, water and shelter are the last things on her mind. This story tells Lauren's journey before she met the infamous rick grimes and what she has to go through before she crosses their path and it all leads up to their big meeting on the rail road tracks, a spy and a cure. Will she ever find her sister? Lauren is in her worse state of mind after losing everything she's ever loved and gets to meet Rick in his scariest state of survival also, relating to him more than anyone else in the group having done the same things as Rick to survive at all costs. I do not own The walking dead characters or scenes, only characters I made up outside of the cast. If i accidentally stole ideas from anyone it was not on purpose; I haven't read any twdfanfic. (Currently being rewritten under a new name The Claimed) Everything changed when they came out of hiding, terror spread across the world as people began to question if our presidents and our global leaders lied to us and weren't from the same race. The Beasts blended in amongst us as if we were the same, except humans didn't have the same predatory instincts and we couldn't change our forms like they could. Soon after we learnt that we weren't the only species people began going missing. Some were unlucky and taken as something that the Beasts called a Mate that one word made fear spread throughout my veins, I would rather sell my soul than have one of them mutts chain me to them. Six months went by before the government, that was un-tainted by this vile race began to take action into their own hands contacting other countries and militaries causing the great war to happen, sending both my parents off to fight for our rights. Only one of them came back, two months was the longest we lasted before we were overpowered by them. Six years of living in this dysfunctional environment and my hatred had never dwindled. Some people still believed in god and had faith in him, I didn't know what I believed in but I prayed like everyone else that I would get through another day without hearing the soul crushing word 'Mate'. She reveals the full story of how she came to be in possession of us and why she can't hand us over to a licensed Caretaker. Pan reveals the tragic truth of the first 10 years of our existence before Kit found us. The new knowledge Ignites a fire in both. So the two young Ethereals come up with another plan that involves the three grad school roommates, Pan, Sid, and Kit, taking us on a long road trip to the Andromeda galaxy for some good old fashioned revenge- justice. I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on.
