The Simmon family goes on a road-trip and as a joke, their 13-year-old son puts a sign up in the backseat window that says "Help! Call 911, I'm being abused" and another driver behind them, calls the cops. Police Officer Morrison comes in and has a chat with the Simmon's son, Sebastian about the prank.
Turns out, 4 years later the Simmon family moves into the next-door house of the Morrison family. Sebastian is now 17 and has grown up quite a bit but Officer Morrison's son, Axel thinks something more sinister is at play.
Axel soon discovers what happens behind the scenes and notifies his dad. Officer Morrison, or Zayn, immediately takes action. Zayn offers Sebastian a home with his son at Axel's apartment for the time being while his parents are going through court dates.
Little does Sebastian know that Axel has a secret of his own. Axel controls a group of twisted vigilantes. When Axel's mom was brutally murdered, he committed his life to find the man who killed his mom and others like him.
