We are the Undesirables. The misfits. The dropouts. The misplaced broken toys of the world. We don't belong anywhere, so I guess you could say that means we belong together. But that doesn't mean it's all sunshine and rainbows. We're like some kind of great cosmic joke. What do you get when you put together a blind cripple, a psychic who can't control what she sees, a girl who can manipulate time and space, a boy who can bring things to life with a sister who can't stop killing, a fifteen year old government trained spy, a delinquent with a soft spot for broken things, and a bunch of highly trained assassins? If you think the answer is anything but an absolute mess, you need to be committed.
Some times you put a bunch of misfits together and you get a team. A family.
And sometimes you get a bunch of erratic unstable over-emotional freaks who can hardly keep from killing each other.
But hey, no one ever said this was going to be easy.

For over a hundred years, humanity has lived in fear of the monsters that roam the streets, lurking in the drains below. Women and their daughters hide, protected in their homes, while men take their sons through the world, teaching them the responsibilities of having a family to feed and dangers to avoid. On the upside though, that same prophecy claims that you have some amazing powers even though you don't. So that's something, at least. ---------------- Isabell McVeigh is 14 years old when she has to separate from her adoptive parents. She winds up just where she was warned to stay far away from. The blood brood pack. She is forced to stay and is made an omega. She still has an escape plan, though it's going to take time to execute. Once the alpha steps down and his son becomes alpha, the command keeping her there will be null and void. Plus with everyone distracted it will be the perfect time to escape. She just has to hope she can make it until then and that she doesn't meet her mate. If she does and he rejects her, all he'll will break loose because that will be the start of it all. Everyone has powers. They originated from a powerful god with immense power, who bestowed these abilities upon humanity because it had grown bored with the world and decided to give itself some entertainment, bestowing powers upon every human in existence. That would be passed down through generations, It runs in their blood. It has been normalized, but there's a twist, their bodies can't handle these abilities and it kills them slowly each time it is used, and with People dying. Groups of people abusing their power, everyone is slowly realizing that these powers are becoming a huge problem for everyone. Still, no one can speak on the matter as for there are rules and everyone must follow them and worship the god and the powers given.

I should be dead. At least, that's what the government officials told me in the super-secret lab where I woke up strapped to a mattress in a windowless room...Sound problematic to anyone else? Like I told the psychos experimenting on me, I've got zero clue how I got my new powers, but I'm sure-as-shit not going to let them turn me into a deadly weapon (or squeeze me into a spangly jumpsuit). Problem is, I'm not so great at controlling whatever the hell it is I've become...Not to mention I'm on the run from my country for a teensy-weensy act of treason while being chased by a shadowy masked mute who may or may not have superhuman abilities too (but is definitely stupid hot under his off-putting disguise). Many of us, variants if you prefer to regard us nicely, otherwise monsters, are born with otherworldly specialties. And those born without it considered us curses to the land while we saw it as superpowers. They call us monsters yet they're the ones hunting us. Till it was me they're hunting down, they locked me in a facility with horrific scientists. The other variants are my allies, the facility, our enemy. The leader of the facility is just another one of us, but he's standing on the opposite side, battling against us. Everyone can lie, but no one can deceive a psychic. Standing before him, you can't hide anything. Your thoughts, your schemes, the psychic hears it all. I, like every other variant locked in this place, dreamed of escaping. Continuous outrageous breakouts just to get recaptured? I need a disparate way, a more intriguing method to sneak myself out of here. Kaysen Hayes, leader of the facility, his job is to keep us all contained. Anyone who dares to escape will come to face him, and he never fails to trick us, put us into defeat. A few variants earned their alliance with the facility, like tamed animals, they'll come to help whenever there's a breakout. When I saw one of those variants, traitorous ideas sprung to my mind.
