Some say we're special, and that's why we're kept in seclusion. Beyond those walls evil lurks and innocent prey would be lost in minutes. Gone. Destroyed. Forgotten. My depression became the best of me. What's worst then your family being slaughtered? Hiding in the closet from the killers. I should've helped, I should've been there for them. The pain between my chest and stomach was growing guilt. So I started thinking smart. Looking at everyone differently. I decided to reopen their cold cases. And when I found the truth it hit me deep.

I am writing to you from the future, and I warn you, all the events in this story are true. Look around you. The people that you are sitting next to might not even be who you think they are. Supernaturals aren't a hoax. They blend in with others, act as though they are normal, but don't be fooled, because they aren't. If you don't want to be involved with this mess of a war, then I suggest you not read what I am writing. But if you do, suit yourself. Don't say I didn't warn you. They are out there. They are waiting. I am one of them. I am a supernatural. I am real. And I am part of the future of your world.

We were trying for so long to find normal that we forgot what it was. Forever we searched, we survived, we sacrificed, but in the end we had us. Us was a strange, very unlikely group of people. We didn't have much except secrets, sarcasm, and an endless amount of obstacles; but despite it all we had an epic story that was cut too short.

There's a world unknown to the common man. There's a war happening outside of the walls of the houses we call home. A group of elite forces come together to protect us and to keep us from knowing about the war. My family knew about the war. Everyone except me, that is. And now, I have to fight to keep my family safe.

Comic books were one thing, but reality wasn't quite so romantic. If you had powers, you hid them, and you prayed no one ever found out. I didn't know why until they got me. The Academy was what they called it. The whole place reeked of deceit and suffering. They hurt us. They used us. They left us broken. We have to get out, before it's too late.

I'm our passion. Taz is our intelligence. Matrix is our strength. Trixi is our personality. Zed was the one who reigned all of that in. The leaders can't use him to subdue us anymore. When the four of us put our minds to something, there is no opposing us. We have a decision to make: follow our elders into a lose-lose situation, or attempt to prevent the situation from ever happening. Zed can either stand with us, or fight with them. It's a long shot in the dark. But, who are we if we don't at least try? Whether we succeed or not, only one thing is certain: We cannot get caught.
