Deanna Van Handle decides that her family needs a break from their star studded life in L.A. As a top actor, along with her husband, a top director, her family lives in the spotlight. Her eldest son, Evan, gets smashed publicly, thrown out of a bar, then gets into a car accident, which leaves him in an induced coma for several weeks. Deanna knows that her son needs to get his head screwed on, so looks up an old high school friend, a friend who just so happens to have married one of the infamous Taylor's. As in, Taylor Ranch.
Taylor Ranch is a 1500 acre family run ranch in Southern Central California. It is one of the last solely family run ranches. It is also one of the only places left that breeds, raises and humanely slaughters all their beef on their own property. They also raise various crops, as well as sheep, goats and dairy cattle. Taylor Ranch is also famous for its quality Quarter horses and runs a dude ranch, restaurant and inn as well.
Deanna books a three month stay in one of the cabins, forcing her children to temporarily drop their lives and move out to the country. The younger children fall for the animals, the young girls for the sexy ranch hands. And Kayden? Well, let's just say that the girls aren't the only ones falling.
After the three months 'in hell' as Evan puts it, is up, do the Van Handle's really want to leave behind this sanctuary? What happens when they are thrust back into the spotlight of Hollywood, as well as the realm of the upper class? Can friendships, forged in so little time, last?
