In a world with applications such as Tinder, Bumble and OkCupid; Avery Jane Whitaker's profession is to bring two people together. As a matchmaker, she helped the broken souls and souls looking for love in this world. Except for herself. Avery had a major part of her heart and mind sealed so as not to experience the feeling of falling for someone ever again in her life. Oh! the irony of a matchmaker.
With Cupid buzzing around Avery with what he knows best puts her on the line of meeting her match. She knew that the idea of falling in love again would either hurt her or the person she is with. Besides, it was never easy to be in love again after the person you thought you loved the most, leaves you broken.
Jay Turner was a chapter she never wanted to go back to and Flynn Lee was another chapter she was forcing herself to end.
Life never is satisfied when you haven't made peace with your past at times. So when Avery meets Nicholas (Nick) Harrison, her fear to fall and be in love overwhelms her. Add a bit of her past and she is left to deal with the other men that left an impact on her.
Does the matchmaker finally get her match or is she going to close yet another chapter on herself? Is living an ironic life her way of living?
