I woke up in a cold sweat on an uncomfortable, bumpy mattress and/or cushion. I had no idea where I was or how long I had been there. God, I need to stop blackout drinking. I peel my eyes open and the light, although faint, pierces my eyes in a very, very painful fashion. I look around the room I'm in to get an idea of my surroundings. Theres a desk across from me with a woman who looks to be in her 50's. On the desk there is a small lamp and a vase of dead, black flowers. I make an attempt at adjusting myself into a more comfortable position but I notice the whole chair feels bumpy and hard. I look down at the chair and see what appears to be in the general shape of a blob but with hard lumps all over. I get up quickly to see where the hell I am. I now notice a sign above the woman's head. A sign that reads "Welcome to Hell" Hey guys I will probably not update regularly because I have the memory of a goldfish but hey I'm attempting. I love feed back so tell me when you dont like things and when you do. Also I intend for this to be a pretty clean book (maybe some violence we'll see). I dont mean to offend anyone religious or otherwise beliefs by writing this I just wanted to try my hand at writing again so... yeah I hope you enjoy

Sanctuary

I'm a vampire hunter. Nothing is more important than keeping humans safe from the things that haunt their nightmares. It's what I was born to do. So when I hear that a body has turned up that looks a lot like bodies from a previous hunt, I fly to investigate. There's just two problems. One is that I killed the vampire responsible for those deaths. The second? The new body turned up in the home country of the one man who can ignite my temper faster than anyone else. Just when I think it couldn't get any worse, a simple touch has my demon claiming that he is my mate. Things just got a whole lot more complicated. Tall, curvy, brunette with hazel eyes that change from almost totally green to deep brown depending on her mood, she is the one woman that has me wanting to shake her one moment and kiss her senseless the next. She's the one woman I can never have, and the only one I truly want. But when a body turns up that looks like the bodies from a case of hers, I have no choice but to call her in to help find the killer. On top of that, the touch of her hand on my arm is enough for my demon to start claiming her as my mate. Then as if things weren't already complicated enough, I find out that I have a daughter when her mother is killed and the child's rescuers find me. So now I have to get to know my daughter, convince my mate to accept me, and deal with a demon that has a one track mind about protecting its mate, even though she can look after herself way better than I can. All while tracking down a vampire that thinks I killed her sister and is out for revenge. Piece of cake. Right?
