I walked out of my meeting with the King worriedly. I am not sure what this dead heart of mine was doing at the time. I grabbed a fist of my shirt above my heart remembering the feeling. No it isn't like that. I looked outside seeing the snowy storm finally calming down. The snow laying flatly into its designated spot. It reminded me of the human child. Eira.... I growled at my foolish thought. Anger rising within me. Never in my immortal life. Crown scoin, Nolan, is next to become king of all vampires. His cold hearted nature have lead him all the way up to the throne. But on a snowy night, a child is delivered to his Mansion that is a Born Vampire. Born Vampires have been extinct for more than 600 years resulting of vampires being turned by a bite. Nolan allows her to stay at his house under the current King's command and suspicion. He misses most of the child's growth till his time of coronation. The born vampire, Eira, is no longer a child but a beautiful young lady with no recognition of her abilities. What happens when Nolan's dead heart starts beating once again just by the sight of Eira? Choosing to stay with Eira will be the death of him but choosing immortality of a vampire will be the death of Eira.

She is the hunter. He is the prey. At least, that's how it should be. Eira is a feared bounty hunter-sharp-eared, red-haired, and haunted by betrayal. She takes contracts for coin, never trust, never love. But when she chains Rowan, a runaway noble with storm-grey hair and eyes too dark to be human, the hunt twists into something else. Rowan knows more than he should. About her past. About her revenge. About a ring that could burn kingdoms to ash. And with every fight, every sarcastic barb, and every secret half-spilled, Eira starts to wonder who is really holding the chain. Enemies. Prisoner and captor. Hunter and hunted. But what happens when fire meets storm-and neither is willing to break?
