[Gifted is only a place holder for now.]
The year is 2145, and the world still remains both corrupt and divided, hiding underneath their domes. Certain cities are still heavily polluted, while others decided to start over and thrive economically. Believing they are safe underneath their domes, the governments and their citizens are oblivious to the dark forces crawling upon them.
Chester is the silent, young and scarred woman living outside the dome of The Second Section, in the mountains of old Tennessee. She has the gift of water, and weather control, which she desperately tries to maintain as it continues going out of wack. She mastered both water walking and breathing, as well as freezing.
Spencer is a tempered, daring and strong woman, as well as a gifted assassin. Spencer has fire running through her vains, and beautiful Phoenix wings, which are disguised as tattoos on her back when not in use. She has incredible strength and speed, and is still learning all the things she could do with her fire abilities, only being 20 years old. Found by Yeva Volkov at age 4, she has been working for a Russian government headquarters for all her life.
Leslie is 21, and Spencer's assassination partner. Leslie has a terrible childhood memory, and is still remembered as a world wide terror. He can form destructive tornados, manipulate peoples emotions and control their minds. He was also found by Yeva, teleporting and hiding by remaining invisible in the Unions. Due to his psychic abilities, his eyes are violet.
Shannon is the only one accepted for his gifts, due to his healing abilities. He is 23 and living in Candoia, which is located in Section Six in the Divided States, and is son of King Audric and Queen Fallon. He is Buddhist, connected to the Earth, and can create things, as well as shapeshift. Shannon has been feeling the Earth's stress, and has started traveling to find the source of the problem.
"You ungrateful bitch. I keep a roof over your head, and this is the thanks I get?"
"You could have killed her," I retort, trying to muster up confidence that I don't possess. "What if she goes to the cops, Dad? That bruise on her face is enough to get you arrested and charged with assault."
"What? You mean when she tripped over the mess you made in the kitchen?" His smile is so wicked that it chills me to my core. "She ain't going to the cops. Hell, she'll probably be back here tomorrow."
"You're a bastard," I whisper, tears filling my eyes. "No wonder Mom left! She probably couldn't bear to spend another second with-"
I'm pushed to the floor. I scramble backwards as he approaches me, his cheeks scarlet with rage, his pupils the size of needle points. In fourteen years, I've never seen him this mad.
I've really done it this time.
