Mason Latany, a 15 year old boy who lives with his mom and his dog right off the highway, crushes on one of his friends, Jason and Chris, but is struggling in school. He works his hardest but his teachers don't care. He works his hardest on not to try to be in a relationship with Jason, but he can't stop thinking about him. 

But on one night, he couldn't sleep at all. He hears voices, screams, whispers, pounding, shouting, crying, all of the things that are terrible. The night after the other, he sees things, and on the other it gets worse. He drags Jason into his mind and now they must control it.
