A choice of the Heart

Kiki is a Junior in high school. Her life has been far from perfect, but she really can't complain. She has an amazing best friend who would do anything for her, a good school life where she is content just passing her classes and planning for the future, and a father who loves her, even if he isn't really around...
That is, until her father and his new wife are killed in a plane crash, leaving Kiki's head spinning and a hole in her heart that she isn't sure she can fill.
Now she's left living with a stepbrother who most likely hates her, and a set of complicated feelings for him. Not to mention this "Gift" that her stepmother left here.
Cursed with the ability to see ghosts and other supernatural beings, Kiki is going to have to learn how to cope quickly, before this power drives her away.
To top it all off, she's pretty sure her best friend is hiding something from her. Now if only she could figure out what it is.
