Aeris Anderson is a small time journalist from Hailey, New York who just got a shot for his dream job at a News network in Manhattan. He has his life set infront of him, all he needs is to get to work and start doing it.

In a state of panic, he struggles and finds a way back to the world of the living. Meanwhile Death, who is secretly in love with Aeris, tries to find a way to bring him back to the world of the living.
Somewhere along the way, they discover the reason behind the string of events was a convoluted plot to bring Lucia Night Shade back into the planes of existence.
Death and Aeris, along side the Council of Grimm Reapers and the Pillars of life, must stop her reincarnation lest it will be the end of existence.
