Cambry has never had a good homelife. With a alcoholic mother and a father that is always in and out of jail; she'd rather live out on the streets, so that's exactly what she does. When she's 15 she meets Adam. He's just like her, he understands her. Cambry and Adam become very close and soon enough, they get arrested together for shoplifting. After they're realeased on bail and forced to attend weekly meatings for troubled teens for three whole months, they ditch their hometown of Stockton, California and hitchhike to Washington. After living in a small shack they they built in the woods for nearly two years, things finally start to turn around for them when they both get jobs and start working towards a better life. But the good fortune doesn't last long. When tragedy strikes, Cambry is forced to stand on her own two feet and realize the true meaning of inner strength
