Margot Walker is dead, but death isn't the end, but rather the introduction to a new world called the Death Plane, home to Embers and Graves. Clara Walker is stuck in a severe depression after her younger sister dies in front of her. She is skeptical, to say the least, when a strange boy shows up and tells her he can contact Margot from beyond the grave. As Margot struggles against becoming a Grave while trying to discover how she died, Clara learns that maybe Margot isn't as gone as she believes, and that being a Lighter isn't all it seems.
A lone soul adrift in the void for countless of ages until a single rift appearing change it all, merging with the source of all things it gained the power to do anything as it enters a foreign and unfamiliar world, with neither it or the inhabitants of the new world know that there lives was about to change.
