Before the Targaryens sailed across the Narrow Sea and claimed Westeros, another Valyrian house staked a claim in the northernmost portion of the country.

House Reneperzys, commonly known as Redfyre, came to the country almost three hundred years before Daenys the Dreamer saw the fall of Valyria. They left to the east, crossing Essos in its entirety before arriving north of the Wall and settling in what would be known as the Red Scale mountains.

The Kings and Queens of winter, titles dedicated for those fortunate to rule over the Red Scales, made certain that their power -their blood ties to Old Valyria just as much as their dragon bonds- remained hidden and their intentions always pure. There would always be but one threat that mattered: the great threat of the Others come to start the Long Night.

This is the story of Vaela Redfyre, heir to the Throne of Winter and a princess in the North. Of her journeys south of the Wall circa 297 AC, her bonds forged with lions and wolves alike, and her familial quest to beat out the Others before the Long Night begins.

[ This book will be based on lore from both the show and the books. Ages will more closely resemble those in the books (or at least definitely younger than those in the show) but plot lines will diverge from both. Jaime Lannister x OC and Jon Snow x OC. Those are two separate OCs listed, just btw. Enjoy! ]

Valaena Fireborn of House Targaryen has been in exile her entire life. Robert's Rebellion twenty years ago forced her and her siblings out of their home to Essos. Valaena was sold to Khal Drogo as his wife so her brother could use her husband's army to retake their father's throne. Suffice it to say, Viserys didn't get his end of the bargain. After a life in exile with one objective in mind, Valaena is headed home. While in Westeros learning about the culture of her homeland and making alliances, Valaena meets three men who will change her life forever. Jon Snow, the stoic King in the North. Tormund Giantsbane, the fearsome wildling. Oberyn Martell, the red viper of Dorne. *This is abandoned, the rest is on my Tumblr* Warning: This book is not fit for younger viewers due to the sexual scenes, violence, and language it contains. There are massive spoilers in this fanfic. It takes place after the Battle of the Bastards in Season 6 of "Game of Thrones". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "He watches you in wonder and awe. Don't you want a husband that would do anything for you, like Khal Drogo?" Kovarro smirked down at me, like he believed he was helping me by attempting to convince me to marry Jon. Rather, he had pushed me too far. I grabbed his tunic and forced him to lean backwards over the waist high rafters, staring down at him with vehemence. "I will never try to replace Drogo. I got my vengeance, but I can never see my family again. The only thing I have left of them is my memories and Haggo's bells in my hair." I roughly shoved him into the rafters, ensuring the wood dug into his back, before letting him go and stepping away from him.

Have you ever wondered what might happen if there was a change in the story? Imagine a scenario where some of the people who had died were still alive, while others remained dead. Would history repeat itself? What could be the possible consequences of such a change? Raising a Targaryen is already a challenge, but when you have to raise Rhaegar Targaryen's twin children, it's a whole different ball game. The Targaryens have a history of complicated family dynamics and politics, which can be both fascinating and daunting. There are several factors to consider when raising these children, such as their lineage, the expectations of the people, and the potential consequences of their actions. All in all, raising Rhaegar Targaryen's twin children would be an enormous responsibility that would require a great deal of patience, wisdom, and strategy. It's a task that would require a deep understanding of the Targaryen bloodline and a willingness to navigate the complex political landscape of Westeros. The Song of Ice and Fire... The lion will take a dragon. He wasn't just a kingslayer and she wasn't just Snow White. The only thing that could tear down the House of the Dragon... was itself. Being the most beautiful girl in Winterfell isn't a solution to survive as a bastard, I'm Lyanna Snow, and this is how I survived as a Targaryen princess WARNING ⚠️ The Song Of Ice And Fire belongs to George R. "Oaths and Vows and Prayers, all things said before Gods and Kings and people called our betters. They're all Just words. They're all just promises. They're all just meant to be broken." Ser Jaime Lannister, The Kingslayer. Lady Megara Emrys, The Silent one. A girl from a House with more power than any other - but the least known house and the last people left thriving in the Shadow Lands Beyond Asshai. A girl who had never spoken a word, a girl no one knows much about, a girl shrouded in mystery. A boy too old to be called a boy, with more blood on his hands then he nor anyone else could ever wash off. A boy known everywhere in Westeros, Essos and even the northernmost points of Sothoros, but yet still not known by anyone - not even his sweet sister. Two people joined together by a deal they had no part in, two people on two different paths that seem to twist and wind and bind together by forces beyond their control. After all, in the wise words of house Emrys; None of us can choose our destiny. *Obviously I don't own Game of Thrones, all rights to that go to George Raymond Richard Martin and HBO, I do own Megara though, and her story line. I also own any plot changes you might notice when reading the story, characters I add, or events I alter. Enjoy!
