A Blaze of Glory

Paul Ryan seems to have it all. Handsome, confident, and charming, he can get girlfriends as fast as they come to him. He's used to partying. At twenty, he's already been arrested twice for drinking underage. It hasn't stopped him yet. He didn't go to college. He lazies around each day until the next one comes.
But suddenly things have changed. He's arrested a third time and this time he is given a choice. Jail time, or service. On top of that, his girlfriend is pregnant. And the child is his. He must find money to support his new family. And so he turns to the Hoosier Mountain Hotshots, an elite wildfire-fighting crew. Their standards for peak physical fitness and extensive training are a shock to Paul. But in a job where safety is not guaranteed, Paul begins to understand that not everyone who becomes a hotshot survives being a hotshot. And now a massive blaze threatens to destroy the town of Hoosier, and they are called out to the job. He can only hope now that he will return alive.
