Crono, a 17 year old boy from Truce, stumbles acrossed MT.Ebott and falls in. He's the 8th human to fall into the Underground (rather than Frisk).
Along his journey, he meets a small ghost child, Chara, who's forced to follow him through Crono's Determination (NaraChara theory), and together, they meet lots of great monsters.

It is light of heart, but some dark themes including suicide, abuse, and murder are explored. Mt. Ebott is famous for the woods that a child may wander into and never return.
