18 year old October's story is one of those stories that will bring you to your knees. Not only does she have to deal with constant abuse from her parents and self harm, but she also has to deal with an abusive relationship that pushes her to her breaking point. However, despite all the hardships she has faced (voices in her head, insomnia, a miscarriage, rape, suicidal thoughts, and etc) she eventually finds the one thing she was so desperately longing for. Happiness. However, before you can learn about her happiness, you have to journey into her version of hell...

There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. I like inflicting pain. Not on others but on myself. Some people would call me depressed but I'm not. If anything the pain makes me happy. I started "self harming" at the mere age of nine.
