When Barry travels back in time to consult with Eobard Thawne in order to become faster than Zoom, it is his biggest gift, but also biggest mistake, of all his time travels.
Barry doesn't want to return to present day after seeing another, new, side to Eobard; one strong enough to stop him. Barry realises, after much confusion, that somehow, he has fallen for his own mother's killer. Eobard Thawne, the most handsome and manipulative psychopath.
Thawne tells Barry a time-altering 'secret', which may change their future forever; now is the time for Barry to decide whether he wants to stay with Eobard or return to present day.
